22/12/2003 - Tonight the City of Sydney Council approved the very first Central Sydney Bike Plan - seven years in the making. They have agreed to many of the suggestions given in our submissions and will be implementing nearly all the bike routes in the first year with a huge budget of $300,000 in just the first year (or six months)! We can't wait to see the city transformed. It includes bike lanes on Oxford St and future recreational routes around the foreshore. See Central Sydney Bike Plan for more detail. This is a HUGE step forward for Sydney.
