The International 350.org campaign aims to create awareness of the 350ppm (parts per million) atmospheric Carbon Dioxide target required to stabilise our climate. The current level is around 390ppm and rising.
To demonstrate the diversity of cyclists and that cycling is mainstream, Paul Boundy is taking 350 photographic profiles of cyclists and their bikes in the Marrickville Council area and surrounds.
Photos will be taken before the end of September and to be exhibited in October 2009.
Massbug is planning a Fun Ride Sustainable Orienteering Rally
(Not a race, but there will be a few prizes)
You can join the Massbug ride, or ride in a team / solo for the chance of a prize.
The ride will start at Newtown Neighbourhood Centre and end at Addison Road Market on Sunday.
Teams will have to answer a series of questions on sustainable topics.
The winner(s) will be judged by the first to submit all or most correct answers at the end time.
The distance will be very easy for the time allowed so it is not a race.
